After punishing his opponent, Steve Beck; Noah (on the right) won by rear naked choke submission! Noah is scheduled to fight again in September 2009!

We are pleased to announce another great opportunity for you to improve your skills, learn new techniques, and make new friends in the Jiu Jitsu community. The third annual Green Mountain Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Camp is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday June 6th and 7th, 2009. The camp, taught by 6th-Degree Black Belt and Carlson Gracie protégé Julio “Foca’ Fernandez, and his Black Belt Instructors, will feature up to 12 hours of quality mat time. This type of training allows for better retention and more in-depth study of the skills. If you have never trained in this total-immersion type of format, you owe it to yourself to try!
The location will be The Vermont Brazilian Jiu JItsu and Self-Defense Academy, at 55 Leroy Rd in Williston, VT.
The training schedule will be as follows:
Saturday, 6/6:
9:30 to 11:30 followed by 1/2hour open mat,
2:00 to 4:00 followed by 1 hour open mat.
6:00 to 8:00
Sunday, 6/7
9:30 to 11:30, followed by 1/2hr open mat
2:00 to 4:00
The cost is as follows:
Early Registration (by May 20th) 195
Late Registration (after June 1st) 225
Individual sessions may be available after June 1st, at a cost of $70 per seminar
If you attend a seminar, you might retain 2 or 3 techniques. If you attend this camp, you will be immersed in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 12 hours. You will retain10 times the material you learn in one seminar! Bring five friends and attend the seminar for free! The seminar is open to all skill levels and martial arts styles!
Optional Room and Meal Plan:
For those coming in from out of the area, we have negotiated a deal with the Champlain College Conference and Events Center. This package includes 2 nights’ stay and 5 meals (3 on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday) for 145 per person, double occupancy. This is only available with Pre-registration and Early Registration, and will not be available to those who register after the 5/15 deadline. The College is located in a scenic and lively area of Burlington, a short walk from the Church St Marketplace, beautiful Lake Champlain, and only 10 minutes from the training center.
There will be a maximum 40 participants per session; first-come, first served.
Registration payments include a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total.

I thought the camp was wonderful. The best part was the BJJ training. So many gracious student s at the academy, all willing to work with us. Their knowledge of technique was tremendous. I appreciate all of their help. I would recommend the camp to all levels of practitioners. The tours around Rio were terrific. The assistance from your sister, wife, and Toko were much appreciated.
